Hi, I’m Adam (M7IAU), a licensed Amateur Radio Operator based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. My radio journey began on 17 November 2024 when I started listening to Air Traffic Control using a TID Radio H3. This quickly grew into a passion for radio communications and monitoring.
My Radio Journey
- 17 Nov 2024: Started listening to ATC on a TID Radio H3
- 30 Nov 2024: Upgraded to a Uniden Bearcat XLT125 scanner
- Dec 2024: Became active on local repeaters and hotspots
- 31 Dec 2024: Purchased an Icom ID-52E Plus (main D-STAR/FM radio)
- Jan–Mar 2025: Completed the Basingstoke ARC Foundation Course
- 10 Mar 2025: Passed the UK Foundation exam
- 13 Mar 2025: Received my callsign M7IAU

My Projects
I am currently focused on establishing a professional digital radio group in the Basingstoke area using Pi-Star hotspots and coordinating community radio activities.
